CIRCLES
The theme for the 2011-2012 Horizons Women Bible Study Circles is "Confessing the Beatitudes"
Margaret Aymer. Back in 2007, Representatives from the Churchwide Coordinating Team of Presbyterian Women
gathered as a Bible Study Committee to select this topic for the Horizons Bible Study. They selected the topic of the Beatitudes
in Matthew and Luke requesting that the study focus on connecting faith with daily life and address
some of the most difficult issues facing the world today; the economy, hunger, poverty, Christian community, water issues,
a woman's role in society, faith and the public life, and justice and peace. For more information, read Page one of

Begins in September and ends in May. Each year brings a different subject. This year’s subject is "Confessing

Horizons Magazine
The Horizons Magazine is published six (6) times per year by Presbyterian Women. The
subscription rate is $24.95 per year, and also includes the (free) Horizons Bible Study. For additional

2012 CHURCHWIDE GATHERING
Save the date!
Plan now to attend the 2012 Churchwide Gathering
of Presbyterian Women, July 18–22, 2012, at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando,
Florida. Plenary speakers, workshops and programming will explore the theme: "River
of Hope," which revolves around Psalm 46:4-5:
There is a river
whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy habitation of the Most High.
God is
in the midst of the city; it shall not be moved;
God will help it when the morning dawns.
As past Gathering chairs can tell you, it takes an entire triennium
to plan one of these events! They are rich and varied, with so much to experience, the only way to hear all of it is to be
there.
